This development comes amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran.

The video posted on YouTube shows a prayer gathering at the White House, organized by the White House Faith Office, featuring Pastor Robert Jeffress and Reverend Samuel Rodriguez.
The congregation prayed for Trump’s guidance and protection as he navigates the complex US-Iran conflict, with hands laid on him.
Background Of US And Iran Conflict
It would be recalled that on February 28, 2026, the US and Israel launched coordinated military strikes on Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several top officials.
Meanwhile Iran has formed a temporary three-member Leadership Council to oversee the country until a new Supreme Leader is chosen.
The conflict has led to protests in Pakistan, India, and other countries, with some expressing solidarity with Iran and others condemning the attacks.
The US and Israel claim the strikes were to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to stop its support for regional proxy groups.
