Premier League Player of the Season shortlist
Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)
Bruno Fernandes has been the driving force behind Manchester United’s rise up the Premier League table to third place, ensuring UEFA Champions League status for next season.
United’s captain has eight goals and 19 assists in 33 Premier League games and is on track to equal Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne’s all-time season assist record of 20.
Fernandes has scored and created a variety of goals with vision and precision, and his EA SPORTS March Player of the Month honor equals Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of six.
Gabriel (Arsenal)
The Arsenal centre-back has contributed on both sides of the ball, dominating at the heart of defense and laying the groundwork for the Gunners’ pursuit of their first Premier League title in 22 years. Arsenal have conceded a competition-low 26 goals this season, with the Brazilian playing a significant role.
Gabriel has an astonishing 88% successful pass rate, has won over two-thirds of his duels, made 34 blocks and 23 interceptions, scored three goals, and set up four more.
Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest)
Gibbs-White, nominated for the second season in a row, has stepped up in the absence of last season’s top scorer Chris Wood, establishing himself as Forest’s major attacking threat.
The England international has scored 13 goals, nearly double his total from 2024/25, and assisted four more. The Forest captain’s outstanding performance in April, when he scored four goals and assisted in just three games, earned him his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month title and helped Forest retain their Premier League place for another season.
Erling Haaland (Man City)
It’s been business as usual for Manchester City’s prolific Norwegian striker, who is on the verge of winning his third Coca-Cola Golden Boot in four seasons after scoring 26 goals in 34 games.
Erling Haaland began the season in style, scoring nine goals in City’s first seven games, setting the tone for another incredible season in which he became a Premier League scoring centurion in just 111 games, 13 fewer than the league’s all-time leading scorer, Alan Shearer.
Haaland also had an incredible run of form from the end of August to mid-October, hitting 22 goals in 12 straight matches across all competitions.
David Raya (Arsenal)
David Raya, a Spanish goalkeeper, has won the Coca-Cola Golden Glove award for the third consecutive season after his exploits between the posts for Arsenal in 2025/26.
Raya has 18 clean sheets and has been an ever-present for Mikel Arteta’s table-topping side, making big saves in crucial moments, including a stunning stop from Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yankuba Minteh, which won December’s Coca-Cola Save of the Month award, the third time he has received it.
Declan Rice (Arsenal)
Declan Rice is regarded as one of the league’s cleanest and most accurate attackers, and he has been the driving force behind Arsenal’s title challenge.
The 27-year-old has succeeded in the No. 8 position, but he has also demonstrated versatility when called up as an emergency right back.
Rice has stepped up impressively in the absence of injured captain Martin Odegaard, and his five assists demonstrate how effectively he has adjusted to additional responsibilities at set-pieces.
Antoine Semenyo (Man City)
Antoine Semenyo, a Ghana international, has played a key part for two clubs this season, joining Manchester City in the January transfer window after an impressive start at AFC Bournemouth in 2025/26.
He had an immediate impression at his new club, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five Premier League outings in February, earning his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month accolade. He proceeded to shine in a variety of attacking areas, including both flanks, forward, and midfield, fitting in effortlessly with Pep Guardiola’s side as they seek to catch Arsenal in the title chase.
Igor Thiago (Brentford)
After an injury-plagued initial season in England’s top division, Igor Thiago has more than made up for lost time with an incredible first full season in the Premier League. The strong forward has given Manchester City’s Haaland a run for his money in the quest for the Golden Boot, scoring 22 times.
His two goals against Sunderland in January brought his season total to 16, the most goals scored by a Brazilian in a single Premier League campaign.
