Losing A Friend Is Not Always Bad: Some People Are Just Worth Losing

0

In life, we meet a lot of people. And many of them become a part of our lives. Some of them are people we only hang around with, people we refer to as friends but never really feel like ourselves around them, and then there are the real ones. The people who make us feel alive and inspire us to become better versions of ourselves.

These individuals are very rare and they are very hard to find. But once you do, you know you’ve hit the jackpot. Your true friends are the ones who know every tiniest bit about yourself. The ones who know the rhythm of your heart. The people who care about you. They are the first people when you have something good or bad to share. The first people you call when need a favor. The ones you confide in and trust with all of your heart. The people that care for you when no one else does.

Your true friends accept you for who you are and love you with all of your flaws and imperfections. They’ve seen and heard it all. Every version of you. Every secret, every small and big thing that has ever happened to you. All of it. And they still love you. They love with all of your heart because to them you are more than enough. You are perfect.

These people, as I said, are really rare to have around. So, if you have them in your life, be grateful for that blessing. And hold onto them tight. For they are worth a fortune.

However, there are also people in our lives that we refer to as friends but don’t really feel like ourselves around them. People who are a part of our life but don’t have a strong connection with us. People who could never understand us the way our true friends do. People who in reality don’t really know us…

And very often give us these weird vibes when we’re around them.

Come on, I am sure you know exactly how it feels after you spend a few hours with someone you don’t really enjoy hanging out… It’s exhausting and it feels as though someone has just drained your entire energy.

It’s because these people aren’t your true friends. They are never there to support you, celebrate your successes, or hold your hand. They are never there when you need them the most. On the contrary, the only time they show up is when they need something from you. Or when you are going through a tough time. Because let’s face it, they only do it because they love the drama…

We’ve all been around a person like that. And we’ve all tried to convince ourselves that they are indeed our friends.

But you know what? I know people who have walk away from that kind of friendship. And later on, realized that doing that has changed their lives completely. I know people who have decided to finally choose themselves,  walk away from fake friendships, and be happy.

There is nothing more liberating than that.

Because when you part ways with a person who never understood you and never really added a certain value to your life, you don’t really lose a friend. When you let go of someone who only pretended to care for you, you practically let go of a burden. You simply release yourself from something that has been wasting both your time and energy.

So, in the end, it’s true what they say… Not every person that comes into your life is meant to stay there forever.

Not everyone is meant to become a big part of your life and love you unconditionally. Sometimes people cross paths with you just to teach you something. And sometimes, some people are worth losing…
